Sri Lanka: Government and the Authorities

Sri Lanka government has no permanent policy or continuity in a national strategy. With a change of the government or the president, the national policy changes and so do the government web pages and the portals. As a chain reaction, a new minister (nowadays it happens too often) changes the heads of the departments and the authorities under him. His/her friends and party supporters are usually appointed as heads of these departments. The new heads change the ongoing projects and the strategies; introduce new visions and missions with loud noises and much publicity. Politicians also adjust the government structure according to their wishes and requirements. The number of ministries depends on the political desire and the need. If required, the number of ministries will be increased and the departments, corporations and authorities will be re-allocated to new ministries. The location, context and the color of the WebPages and portals of the ministries and the other authorities also continuously change because of the above mentioned reasons. Welcome to Sri Lanka!
