Helping out at home

Manel awoke with a splitting headache. She wanted to turn around and go back to sleep but she knew that she couldn’t. SHe had to get up and prepare breakfast for her family. Her nine-year-old son peeped in and was disturbed to find his mother crying. “It’s alright, putha(son). I have a bad headache but I will be up soon.”she consoled him. Her husband, Athula was usually grumpy in the mornings but he looked concerned when he heard his wife’s words. “I’ll help prepare the roti for breakfast.”he offered.

Manel felt her headache lessen as she welcomed the offers of help from her family.

Let’s prepare for a new day by helping out at home!
