MAN ON A MISSION

Fifth executive President of Sri Lanka his Excellency the president Mahinda Rajapaksha is doing all he can to bring peace and restore law and order in the northern Sri Lanka. He believes in peaceful co- existence of the people of Sri Lanka is the way to go.
Human rights lawyer / activist Mr. Rajapaksa was educated at, Richmond College Nalanda College, Colombo and later Thurstan College, Colombo.
After contesting the Beliatte seat he was elected to the parliament in 1970 as the youngest Member of Parliament at the age of 24. with a long span of political career, in 2004 Chandrika Kumaratunge appointed Mr. Rajapaksha as the countries Prime Minister succeeding Kadirgamar and Anura Bandaranaike.
In 2007 Chandrika again had to choose Mr. Rajapaksha as the new presidential candidate against Ranil Wickramasinghe due to the mass support of the voters. It was a one horse race. People of Sri Lanka needed a real leader. Again he succeeded Anuran Bandaranaike. He agreed to the People of Sri Lanka not giving in to LTTE demands and atrocities and agreed not to divide our motherland in to peaces. People trust him and voted and he up hold that trust Sri Lankan people placed upon him.
After Mr. Rajapaksha was elected as president, war with LTTE had turn to a different face. THIS IS THE TIME TO ACT. More and more LTTE carders now surrender to the Armed forces and seeking government protection. More and more innocent Tamil civilian’s crossing over to government control areas seeking protection for their families from security forces. After liberating the east of Sri Lanka. our security forces are doing all it can to liberate north.
25 years of bloody LTTE terrorism has come to an end. Blood thirst Prabhakaran’s evil atrocities and genocide killings will come to an end. People of Sri Lanka will celebrate the victory of our Armed forces in no time. The day will come all expatriates will gather with all Sri Lankan citizens to celebrate the Sri Lanka’s wedding day, liberated day when we capture or kill the most ruthless, dangerous terrorist leader in the world Velupillai Prabhakaran. the day is imminent. Our children will look in to the future with a new hope. All Sri Lankan’s will look in to the future without fear of terrorism and LTTE atrocities.
Credit must go to the president as our commanding officer of four forces and also it must extend to the commanders of the four forces. They are doing an excellent job by protecting civilians and eradicating LTTE terrorism from our country for good. We as all Sri Lankan’s without taking a party side must salute the president and our armed forces for their courage to bring peace, harmony and prosperity to our mother land.
