A person after watching The da Vinci code would b compelled to re-read the Holy Bible. Anyone, doing so would obviously come across the "one, loved above all others" mentioned in the Gospel of John. Well of course, we know that this is a reference to Mary Madgaline. But, imagine what Handagama would make of it!
"Appostales ... all men ....
and Jesus loves one above all others ..... hmmm.....
ammata udu Jesus was GAY!"
And being the contraversial film maker we know and love him to be,
who's going to stop Handagama from making a film about a gay Jesus.
Imagine the social backslash that could follow!!!
Also, we should bare in mind that nobody in Sri Lanka hates gays more than Mahinda.
You'd know this because, Ranil is, of course, gay.

Sameera's analysis appears to be based on childish assumptions, rather than more in-depth understanding of literature of the times. It is in our times that everything is pre-judged to be a convoluted thing, to satisfy our own carnal mindset.
There is nothing in the Bible to suggest what is irresponsibly and irreverently inferred here. Even to a non-Christian, what is said here is offensive. Freedom of speech, Sameera, should not become a platform upon which to display your own gross immaturity to the world.
I strongly object to this posting for its insulting and derogatory nature, amidst a lack of any acceptable basis.

The topis said "Why did Mahinda Rajapakse ban Da-Vinci-Code" but the discussion is totally irrelavant to the topic.
Even if the movie is banned the book is freely available in Sri Lanka. anyone who reads the book will understand that it is a Fiction based on certain old scriptures including the bible, Tora and the Holy Quran. I don't see any reason why the movie was banned.
