Rapthi Raffella Dannielle Kerkoven is the Sri Lankan contestant for miss world 2006 pageant, in Warsaw, Poland, which will conclude on Sept. 30 2006. 102 contestants are taking part in the finals.
About 2 billion people are expected to watch the telecast of the Miss World is the third most-watched television event, trailing on the Olympic Games and World Cup soccer. The beauty queens arrived in the Polish capital Friday for a month of pageantry across the country ahead of the final of the Miss World 2006 pageant contest scheduled for Sep 30.
Rapthi was born and grew up in Colombo, Sri Lanka, a multiracial, multicultural country both scenic and beautiful, a tourist paradise. She has completed her education with a Diploma in airline ticketing and reservations, and is currently studying fashion design and working as a professional model, her ambition is to open her own Exclusive Dress Boutique. Rapthi enjoys travelling, listening to music, reading books, watching movies, athletics and synchronised swimming. Favourite food is Chinese and Sri Lankan. Personal motto is “Life is meant to be lived so let’s go out and live it”.
