Suicide bombers venerated in Australia.

Canberra, 25 July, 2005 (Asiantribune.com): While the world all over condemn the scourge of suicide bombing and bombers, in Australia permission was granted in a state school building to commemorate Black Tigers Day venerating suicide bombers. While suicide bombers are venerated in the State of New South Wales, Australian Federal Government is thinking about introducing tough new laws to deal with terrorism in Australia taking a cue from legislation to be introduced by the British Government.
Australian Prime Minister John Howard has said that Australia would look very carefully at what the British do and if there is something in that for Australia it would be happy to pick it up. He has warned that the west is locked up in a 19th century mindset, which is inadequate to deal with 21st century terrorists.
Among the proposals being considered by Britain is legislation to strip citizenships of those convicted of terrorism offences. Mr Bob Carr, the Premier of New South Wales, the Australian state with a high concentration of recent immigrants, has said that Australia should adopt similar legislation stripping terrorists of citizenship.
Perhaps unknown to Premier Carr, one of his own Government Departments, the Department of Education recently (mind you three days after the London terrorist bombings) provided a state school building to a front organisation of the world’s foremost terrorist outfit, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), to commemorate Black Tigers Day venerating suicide bombers.
The Tamil Coordination Committee, widely identified as an LTTE front organisation, staged quite a show on the 10th July, only three days after the London bombings, to venerate suicide bombers with a musical evening, dances and speeches praising the feats of Tamil Tiger suicide bombers who perished killing such state leaders as the former Indian Prime Minister the late Rajiv Gandhi and former Sri Lankan President the late Premadasa.
Asian Tribune is re-publishing today some of the photographs taken at the Sydney Black Tiger commemoration event which were proudly exhibited in “Tamil Natham”, a pro-LTTE website
Photo (1): A senior figure from the Tamil Coordinating Committee saluting the Eelam Flag of the LTTE after hoisting it at the Sydney Black Tiger felicitation site inside the School Hall of Home Bush Boys High School. How could the Australian Government and the New South Wales Government permit an act of hoisting the flag of a non-existent state in affront of a friendly nation Sri Lanka? What is the newly appointed Sri Lankan High Commissioner Mr K. Balapatabendi doing here in Australia about this affront to the sovereignty of Sri Lanka? Are the Sri Lankan organisations in Australia correct in criticising his appointment as a prelude to his eventual retirement in Australia in the midst of his kith and kin?
(Photo 2): Another senior figure of the Tamil Coordinating Committee making his innocent child venerate the first LTTE suicide bomber Captain Miller. Compare this with the next photograph proudly presented in Tamilnet, another LTTE website, where the LTTE Supremo Velupillai Prabaharan is seen paying his respect to his first suicide bomber Captain Miller. What their leader Velupillai Prabaharan did on the 5th July, their followers in Sydney repeat five days later on the 10th July (of course conveniently scheduled for a Sunday for the benefit of the mostly professional Tamil elite of Sydney) Will not this innocent child when it grows up fed with this incessant LTTE propaganda take these suicide bombers as a role model? How could the Australian Government permit this dangerous trend of public display venerating the deadly LTTE suicide bombers?
