I would like to find a copy of these 2 volumes of
Senarat Paranavitana's work in the United States.
I have heard great things about them but cannot find them anywhere.
They are out of print and the libraries here do not seem to have them.
I would also like to see pictures of the Graffiti. Can anyone help me ?
This is a personal study. I want to read the 685 poems from the Mirror Wall - this is a treasure.
The Publication is: Senarat Paranavitana. 1956. Sigiri Graffiti, Sinhalese Verses of the Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Centuries. London: Oxford University Press 2 Volumes
These are discribed as:
"His magnum opus is the two volumes of Sigiri Graffiti being Sinhala verses of the 8th, 9th and 10th centuries published for the government of Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) by Geoffrey Cumberiege, Oxford University Press, 1956. I cannot refrain from quoting a part of the excellent review published by The Times Literary Supplement of September 21, 1956 on this monograph. It devoted one-and-a-half columns on these two volumes under the head 'Verses in the Rock'.
