The Fort Printers

The Fort Printers is an 18th century mansion, recently restored into a fully serviced, elegant villa with classic and modern furnishings in a colorful palette. The mansion contains 5 suites furnished with silk curtains, crisp white linens, velvet bed spreads and pristine bathrooms. The mansion features grand living spaces including drawing and dining rooms, a library and a lap pool in the interior courtyard.

A dedicated staff provide a friendly and personal service and serve an imaginative menu of Sri Lankan curries and Mediterranean inspired cuisine.

The mansion is located in the historic Galle Fort, a 16th century Dutch colonial fort and now designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The mansion traces its origins to the Dutch period but substantial additions were made in the English era after 1796, including high ceilings and large windows.

The Fort Printers serves as an ideal private retreat to explore the galle fort, countryside and the beaches around Galle. The mansion may be booked for exclusive use or as seperate suites.

The Fort Printers is operated as a villa and a private hotel.
